Patra Stanley Joins BWCF Board with a Passion for Stronger Communities

August 3, 2026

Building safer, healthier, and more connected communities takes more than great ideas—it requires leaders with diverse experiences and a shared commitment to improving the places where we live, work, and play. That's why Bike/Walk Central Florida is proud to welcome Patra Stanley to our Board of Directors.

Patra brings a unique combination of community leadership, real estate and land development experience, and grassroots advocacy that aligns closely with Bike/Walk Central Florida's mission to create communities where people can safely walk, bike, and roll.

Throughout her career, Patra has seen firsthand how thoughtful planning and strategic investment shape neighborhoods. Her work in commercial real estate and land development has given her an understanding of how transportation networks, infrastructure, and community design influence economic opportunity, public health, and quality of life. That perspective is especially valuable as Central Florida continues to grow, and communities look for ways to create safer streets and stronger connections for everyone.

Just as important as her professional experience is Patra's commitment to serving her community.

As the founder of The Life Cycle Club, she has created opportunities for people to come together through monthly group bike rides that encourage healthy living, community connection, and active lifestyles. Beyond organizing rides, she has led fundraising efforts, coordinated outreach initiatives, and helped provide bicycles, clothing, food, and other essential resources to individuals and families in need. Her dedication to mentoring young people and encouraging leadership and civic engagement reflects a deep belief that stronger communities are built by investing in people.

Patra has also served in leadership roles supporting economic and community development, including as Secretary of the Eatonville Chamber of Commerce. Her work has consistently focused on bringing people together, building partnerships, and creating opportunities that strengthen neighborhoods.

Her vision for Central Florida is one shared by Bike/Walk Central Florida: a region where safe sidewalks, connected bicycle facilities, well-designed crossings, and people-centered streets make it easier for everyone to travel safely, whether they're walking, biking, or driving.

Having leaders like Patra on our Board strengthens our ability to advance this vision. Her experience working directly with communities, understanding development and planning, organizing grassroots initiatives, and building meaningful partnerships will help Bike/Walk Central Florida continue expanding its impact across the region.
